Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Innovation & Relevancy – How original, unique, and impactful the solution is. How relevant it is to the track chosen.
User Experience & Design – The quality of the UI/UX, usability, accessibility, and overall user-centered design approach. Put yourself in perspective of the user when building.
Problem Solving – How effectively the project addresses the chosen track’s challenge or theme.
Functionality & Feasibility – How realistic, practical, and well-thought-out the solution is for real-world implementation.
Presentation & Storytelling – How clearly the team communicates their idea, design decisions, and overall impact during the final presentation.
Prototype Quality – The level of detail, interactivity, and polish shown in the submitted prototype or visual deliverables.

Our Design-A-Thon is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of the following: gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, political views, previous design-a-thon attendance or lack of, design experience or lack of, chosen design software or tech stack
We do not tolerate harassment of Design-A-Thon participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate at any design-a-thon venue, this includes the following: talks, presentations, demos, workshops, any parties associated to the design-a-thon, social media, any other online media.
